Our Story

After five incredible years, I’ve made the heartfelt decision to close Wesley & Wade. Creating candles for you has been one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. Every pour, every label, every market and message reminded me why I started in the first place: to create something thoughtful, high-quality, and rooted in connection. This business was never just about candles—it was about people, friendships, and building community, and I’m endlessly grateful to every single person who supported me along the way.

This decision didn’t come easily. Over time, the cost of goods and supplier pricing continued to rise, and I reached a point where I could no longer ethically create the kind of candle I’m proud of without charging close to $40 per candle. That didn’t feel right to me. Wesley & Wade was built on quality, accessibility, and trust, and I never wanted to pass that burden on to my customers or compromise the integrity of what I was making. Closing felt like the most honest choice—for both you and me.

I started Wesley & Wade with the intention of making specialty candles you’d truly love, while also challenging myself to grow as an entrepreneur. I’ve always loved the process of building something from the ground up—learning, evolving, and stretching with each passing year. This business gave me the opportunity to do exactly that, and it exceeded every dream I had when I first began.

The name Wesley & Wade was inspired by my twin boys, Summit Wesley and Maverick Wade. They spent the first seven weeks of their lives in the NICU, an experience that forever changed me. It taught me about strength, resilience, and purpose during the hardest season I had ever faced. In that time, I realized that life is too short to wait for “someday.” Six months after their birth, Wesley & Wade, LLC was born—out of courage, hope, and a deep desire to go after my dreams.

I live in Hood River, Oregon with my husband, our dog Solo, and our twin boys. When I’m not creating, my favorite place to be is out on the water—windsurfing or winging, soaking up the beauty of this place we call home. As this chapter comes to a close, I’m carrying forward everything Wesley & Wade taught me: gratitude, bravery, and the belief that meaningful work should always be built with heart and integrity.

As this season ends, my commitment to giving back continues. I remain deeply involved in NICU awareness, a cause that will always be close to my heart. I’ve also become an avid runner—something that has brought me strength, clarity, and a new sense of purpose. This year, I will be running a marathon in support of Project NICU, honoring the tiniest fighters and the families who walk that journey.
